2. Harmonic Alignment

This metaphorical technique is a very useful “cleanup” technique to help someone reposition themselves in line with their goal and reach it more easily. Harmonic Alignment lets you free yourself from the weight of the past and from recurring patterns while opening you up to a more pleasant future. Harmonic Alignment repositions you in the present moment, fostering better time management. This technique can, for example, help you be more punctual and eliminate the tendency to procrastinate.

In addition to offering the opportunity for a major general cleanup that also acts on depression and relieves stress, the Harmonic Alignment technique targets many secondary goals.

In truth, Harmonic Alignment fosters an important reframe, and like all the other Méthode Dolfino® techniques, it must be aligned with a well-defined goal, otherwise you will be cleaning up without a clear purpose.

The Méthode Dolfino® tools work best without interpretation. In that sense, you don’t need to mention the name of the techniques and tools you’re using. Also avoid giving symbolic explanations about them. For example, when guiding the Harmonic Alignment technique, refrain from mentioning that it addresses both the guided person’s past and their future.

Some people are constantly seeking to “understand”. Don’t hesitate to remind them that the Young Me knows very well what it needs, and that it’s the Rational Me that keeps demanding explanations. Instead, invite them to rely on the wisdom of their Young Me.

In Harmonic Alignment, you want the guided person to see and transform only symbols. So if Uncle Harold shows up during the session, ask the Young Me you’re guiding to find a symbol that suits him (object, animal, element of nature, abstract shape, etc.) to represent Uncle Harold. You might, for instance, ask what’s hiding under Uncle Harold’s costume. If real people from the guided person’s life keep appearing, the trance may not be deep enough. In that case, deepen again.

In every technique, make sure you achieve complete management of each symbol. This often involves several transformations until the symbol is fully transmuted — that is, eliminated or replaced with a positive symbol. When you throw old socks full of holes in the trash, they don’t just disappear on their own, do they? You can’t stop there.

The process of metamorphosis regularly involves extracting, discarding, destroying or permanently transforming a symbol. So take the time to properly complete everything that needs to be done. Encourage the person you’re guiding to leave no symbol debris lying on the ground. For example, urge them to burn every last piece thoroughly and to let the grass destroyed by the ring of fire grow back. Invite them to make the garbage truck disappear and to restore beauty everywhere in their inner world.

As a guide, be curious and ask lots of questions. In fact, your questions will help the guided person better feel, define, listen to, and transform what’s happening inside them. Through your questions, you help the person you’re guiding explore every facet of their symbols and refine their own solutions.

Why always offer at least three solutions? Simply because a single solution amounts to being directive, and two options tend to limit the choice to one or the other.

Three solutions therefore open up the field of all possibilities and give the sometimes-shy Young Me “permission” to fully express itself. Over time, you’ll notice that people generally choose a solution you didn’t even suggest. Indeed, once you open the door to the Young Me, it happily leaps into the world of resources that are truly its own!

This technique is described in the context of guiding a third party.

Have them describe the first non-emotional action they’ve always done in the morning, upon waking. It could be, for example, opening their eyes or going to the bathroom.

Petting the dog Toby or listening to music are emotional actions, so they don’t count.

Have them symbolize the memory of this action done this morning as a point in space, and point to it with their finger. The person can choose to place this point right beside them, in front, or behind them — it doesn’t matter. As often as possible, pair the gesture with the visualization, make sounds, and let expressions come out spontaneously. These are elements the Young Me strongly appreciates, and when encouraged, it will redouble its efforts to move toward the requested goal.

In the same way, have them symbolize (still as a point in space) the memory of this same action done last week.

Then create a third symbolic point for this same action done a very long time ago, when the person was a very young child.

Have them connect the points with a link of their choosing (a thread, a cable, a ray of light, a pencil line, a ribbon, etc.).

Now, have them throw the points behind them to form a line.

Have them straighten and stretch this line out to infinity behind them.

Have them improve the link connecting the points so that it looks magnificent to them.

Here, magnificent means “the most beautiful, the most magical, the most extraordinary link you’ve ever seen in your life.”

Repeat the same process, but this time placing the different points toward the front.

Here too, keep in mind the non-emotional gesture from the start, which will be done again tomorrow, next week, and then a very, very, very long time from now, when the person is old and in great shape. Once again, the link connecting the points must be fabulous, inspiring, and sensational, all the way to infinity.

Then have them connect the two lines by running them through the inside of the body, at the best spot according to the Young Me. The two lines can meet at the heart, the solar plexus, the eyes, etc., depending on what the person feels and prefers.

Have them scan over the back line to carefully observe anything that isn’t normal, such as spots, breaks, or objects. Handle all these symbols so that the line becomes harmonious and clear.

It should be noted that in this technique, calibration is very important, because some people do not spontaneously say what anomaly they notice on the lines. There may be only a dilation of the nostrils, for example. It is important for the guide to watch for the slightest movement, however imperceptible, in order to encourage the guided person to say what they just saw. It can also happen that the guided person says right away that everything is perfect. In this case, which can resemble a psychological escape, the guide must insist and show creativity in giving the guided person the means to see the anomalies on the lines (e.g.: inviting them to take out a magnifying glass, fly at low altitude, put on special glasses…)
