Loïc in the rain
To give him confidence and highlight his creativity, I offer him a few suggestibility tests. He happily agrees to play along, and I invite him to do a class 1 test, “the stuck fingers”. Loïc can’t believe his eyes... his index fingers move closer together, as if by magic, irresistibly. The boy then moves on to an arm levitation, eyes closed, delighting in the lightness of the limb as it rises. Just as his hand reaches a nice height, the young boy says to me: “it’s raining, it’s raining...” Not understanding what he means, I nonetheless notice a ring forming on his gray t-shirt at the armpit. I tell myself that, despite the altered state of consciousness, my young partner is starting to sweat. So I decide to give him a chance to relax by inviting him to sit down on the chair behind him.
I proceed with a quick induction, knowing that a young person of this age, especially after successful suggestibility tests, has the ability to enter trance very easily. In the strategy I’d set out, I planned among other things to invite my young client to enjoy an Archetypal Journey, starting by going to see the tree. It appears frail and withered. Following the three suggestions I offer him, Loïc decides to water his tree and call for rain. Spontaneously, he starts a new arm levitation and says again, smiling: “It’s raining, it’s raining... the tree is growing... it’s growing... it’s growing... yes it’s raining... it’s flowing... it’s flowing.” The boy seems in ecstasy; I encourage him with “excellent, wonderful, extraordinary” before noticing that his t-shirt is now quite wet. At that moment, I see a drop fall from above.
Thinking for a moment that I too am in the middle of a fantastic hypnotic trance and that the rain is really there, I look up and see a huge bulge in the ceiling. I quickly understand there must be a water leak at my upstairs neighbor’s. Taking the risk of seeing the bulge burst and plunging Loïc under a deluge worthy of a disaster movie (in trance everything is amplified), I decide to keep encouraging my client to improve his tree. He does so joyfully, laughing, almost singing, so euphoric to be living a full experience that fully engages his VAKOG. Once the desired result was achieved, I brought Loïc back on the count of three, to the here and now, to deal with the household incident and continue the session under a calmer sky. This experience was unique and will remain etched in both our memories for a long time. It’s very interesting to ratify external elements and integrate them as much as possible into the guiding experience, to go even further in the transformations.
